I know its been a while since I’ve written maybe I’m feeling a little melancholic but I feel like sharing just a bit of me with you…

During a lot of my life I have been fortunate be around people who have shaped my taste in all aspects of life. Although I don’t consider myself a guru (maybe I am LOL) I have a genuine passion for the jewelry and fashion industries. Even at a young age I was able to notice things that others didn’t. From the beautiful looking watch showing partially underneath a suit sleeve to the small buckle on the shoes of that guy on the magazine.

My first designer encounters took place when I started working part time at a high end jewelry boutique. It was then that I started to appreciate the craft and visions of people from all over the world. I do have to say that it was when I met Marie Helene Morrow my view of pretty much everything changed. Ruling with an Iron fist as I thought at the time her best description would be Miranda from THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA… it was essential that I knew the stories about these artists. I was not so receptive to putting in the time to learn about it. I just wanted to go to fashion shows and show people how to put together looks while I got paid at the same time!!!. Little did I know that her “Iron Fist” was really Passion and Her attitude towards me was her instinct to find hidden potential in people. After some time and very fascinating conversations it just came natural to us. She would ask me for opinions on many things. I spoke freely and with all I had in my mind. Eventually I kept learning and was given many growth opportunities. During that time another important person was thrown into the equation. Here I meet this flamboyant kind of loud guy that trains pageant queens and designs couture. Peter Morales he says although I remember him vaguely as Pedro Sanchez from my same home town that went to school with my dear aunt. He had lived many life experiences and was not shy about sharing them. It was a love hate kind of relationship because you love the guy to death but he is so bluntly honest that you want to kill him at times! We accomplished great things together and enjoyed every single minute. Going forward it came a time that at the company didn’t have an opportunity to grow in other areas that I was curious to explore. I never got to thank Marie Helene but she is a person that I to this day admire in many ways.

It came time to make a very difficult choice stay or move on to explore and conquer. MY choice was to keep moving, this move was probably the best experience in my life. I was introduced to a hierarchy of three very different business men. Mr. Felix Bared Senior a very intimidating person when you first meet him however he is one of the most noble person I have ever met. A conversation with him is like reading a very good book, you just can’t get enough to put the book down. Then Follows Felix Bared Jr. a very loud strong opinionated man who shows no sign of fear at any time, Bluntly honest however fair and firm. Finally Felix Bared the Third, one of the smartest and at times the biggest asshole I have met. Focused on business and basing choices on numbers and reason. These three showed me the side of being a businessman. Not only did I learn but they gave me confidence and welcomed me into their family. It is just an indescribable feeling. I have to say that I consider being an extremely blessed person to have been given these life experiences.

Finally there is someone that my respect towards him has grown more and more with time. Mario Alberghini luckily part of my family, He has done so many things in his short age that you can only feel pride or hate him because of it! ( just Kidding) From experiencing all areas of the corporate cycle to writing brilliant columns on subjects that we both share passion towards, so much to learn from him. Keep Living it up in NYC Mario. Like I said earlier these are just a few but very important!! There are People Like Blanca Rodriguez, Illiany Mera, Simon Alcantara, Karlo, ED Coriano, Robert Lee Morris and the list goes on… You can only feel pride to have met or just to be in the same room with these extremely talented and gracious Human Beings.
I wish to be able to share at least a moment with all these people again. If not I can only be grateful that they each contributed with their grain of sand in the beautiful beach that is my life.

I am very exited about many things going on in my life right now, most importantly the future birth of my first child and the amazing experiences that my beautiful wife and I are enjoying together. But that is a whole other post...
