When We Ruled The World

There was a time in our lives that worries and life were words that we did not know the meaning to. The only Heroes we knew stood in front of us all day. They fed us, dressed us and made us laugh all day long. It was a time of innocence which with time we forget. We grow up and life starts to take meaning. It is during this time that our everyday life overwhelms us and we don’t stop and think about all the happiness that we’ve had. So in that light it is fair to say that we don’t live our life to achieve happiness, we’ve had it! It’s not gone, it’s never been gone. Some of us had the privilege of having ever loving parents that lived for us and really have given us that happiness that we later on “search” for on our own. There are some that consider happiness a series of things, some say a Career maybe their Achievements the most mentioned Money of course. The truth is that we all have different realities and to some of us happiness is some of what I mentioned. But mine is simple: LOVE. As corny as it may sound I have realized that having the job, the money, the fancy jewelry and other great things were not my happiness. They were great times and it is very enjoyable but it means nothing now. My happiness is the love of my soul mate when we look at each other in the morning or my parents voices when we speak on the telephone and I think about my childhood and how good and happy it was. Happiness has been with us always let’s not cover it with our everyday problems or worries. Stop and think about when we ruled the world! Because it will be soon time for us to give our crowns and share our happiness…
